Infatuation (Poem)

I recall the other day at the coffee shop,

I was admiring you from afar; spellbound; my heart stopped.

And yet, I never dared to look right into your enchanting eyes,

Because I knew, that their sorcery would freeze mine to ice.

I wanna stand beneath your window, and scream your name,

I wanna hold your hand, and dance with you in the rain.

I wanna bring you flowers

And adorn your hair with them, everyday.

And on a lovely evening, when we’d be gazing at the sunset view,

I still won’t be bewitched by anything but you.

With an infatuated smile, and a desire to say this to your face someday,

I finished my coffee, and went along my way.
